Having had bad experiences in the past we were very wary undertaking the massive task of renewing our old and tired driveway. We had several quotes and so happy that we opted for Hertfordshire Driveways. I can’t recommend Hertfordshire Driveways highly enough. From the moment We first spoke to Gary, to him coming to quote for the job, we were impressed with the quality of customer service. He listened to our requirements and was not pushy leaving it entirely up to us to decide if we wanted to proceed – we were not put under any pressure at all. Gary showed us samples of various bricks we had seen the the brochure and helped us with the design. A final start date was agreed and Lee and his team turned up on time as anticipated. They were polite and friendly and completed the job efficiently, overcoming any unforeseen issues and kept the area tidy throughout. The attention to detail was first class. We are so pleased with our driveway, and have had so many comments on the quality of the work and design. We would not hesitate in using Hertfordshire Driveways for future projects ie patio, artificial lawn.

I had my front garden landscaped to include a sizeable area of block paving, with the creation of new borders and an area of decorative Cotswold stone. The end result surpassed my expectations and was completed within the suggested timescale and the team left the area completely clean and tidy. Throughout the works, which took 4 days, the team were friendly, polite and very helpful. They worked very hard in very hot conditions and the quality of their work couldn’t be faulted. An excellent job!

We recommend Gary and his team @ Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd with the strongest possible endorsement. They built a garden patio and planting area for our back garden and were incredibly meticulous. The planning was excellent, they were always on time with all aspects of the work and actually completed it with a quality that was beyond our expectations. They even came back to us proactively to highlight that some of the quoted work was not required and therefore the total bill would be less! Gary and colleagues were friendly but never intrusive. After finishing the job, they cleared all building mess so that no work was required by us to clean after them – they even made our front driveway look better. There were no issues whatsoever with the work undertaken and we are delighted to recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and cost effective job!
Our house was knocked down and rebuilt over a 2 year period. Consequently the front drive took the brunt of the renovation it was in a really bad state. It was a carriage driveway which needed digging up with a complicated drainage system being as it was a large area sloping down towards the house. We had several meetings with Gary who meticulously drew the plans for our approval. I had no concerns about deliveries because they were always on site managing everything – I cannot stress enough how professional and what an amazing job they did. The transformed my front drive.
Front garden. Old crazy paving slabs replaced with new driveway blocks and extended to meet existing driveway. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and the end result is wonderful.
We had our lawn leveled and re-turfed and an area at the rear of the garden paved with stone edging around the flower beds. Gary who priced the work and measured up was great, giving ideas and advice but not trying to push us into anything. The guys who did the job were really good, very professional and clearly took pride in doing a good job. I would highly recommend this company.
